Alpha Course: The Alpha Course is Coming

The Alpha course which is open to all, of any belief or non, takes place normally in the Autumn in Mattishall Junior School. More than a million people all over the world have completed the course during the last ten years in churches, homes, schools, universities and prisons.
It is an opportunity to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed non-threatening setting over ten thought provoking weekly sessions with a day away. It is low-key, friendly, fun and free.
The evening starts with a meal which gives all of us a chance to get to know each other. Then after some short preliminaries Gordon, the Vicar gives a talk which looks at some of the basics of the Christian faith in a systematic way which in his experience has helped people who have had no contact with Church whatsoever, through to those who have been involved for years.
Then in a small group you can have your own say. All questions of any variety are welcome but, of course, if you are shy there is no need to share at all. Here in Norfolk we have had people from 13 to 95 doing our course and all those who get stuck in have really enjoyed it and many have found it life changing.
The talks aim to cover the basic beliefs of the Christian faith. The complete list of talk titles, which follows the chapters of Nicky Gumbel's book Questions of Life, is:

Many dozens of people in our Villages would say that the Alpha course has been a major influence on their lives and I can reccomend it wholeheartedly. If you would like to know more please e-mail or phone Gordon, the Vicar.
