The Ministry of Healing at All Saints' Mattishall

We strongly believe that God still heals today. We have seen people healed physically and emotionally in our services and always offer prayer for healing at the 10.30 service either during the service or afterwards.  

This normally takes place in the side chapel where gently and peacefully people can be prayed for by one or two members of our team who are trained to pray for people . 

This is done in total confidence and you do not need to be a member of the church to take advantage of this opportunity. 

If you would like to be prayed for in the privacy of your own home, possibly with anointing with oil then please contact Gordon , the Vicar on 01362 850243 and he will arrange for a member, or members of the team, to come and pray with you at your convenience.

Why do we believe God heals today?

The ministry of Jesus is full of healing miracles and clearly this was associated with the fact that he was the Son of God and the healings revealed who he was and his love for the people.  To give one example in Matthew 4:23, it says Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.

In addition to this though, Jesus clearly expected the Apostles and his disciples to do the same.  Matthew 10:1  He called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out evil spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.

Luke 10:1  After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go.  9:Heal the sick who are there and tell them, `The kingdom of God is near you.'
These disciples include those who believe in Him and follow Him today

Mark 16:17  And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; ………. they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."

John 14:12  I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
