Midweek Prayer Group

A prayer group meets on a Monday morning between 10am & 11am in All Saints Church, Mattishall. God hears all our prayers there are no barriers to prayer, you don’t have to be eloquent or learned that’s the beauty of God, He is just looking at your heart.

Here's a few answers to some general questions about prayer.

All Age Worship - All Saints' MattishallQ1. Is anyone welcome? A resounding yes. scripture says Matthew 18:20:
“For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."

Q2. What do I need to bring? Just a heart that wants to give. Sometimes we come and may feel we have nothing to give but God is amazing and He just works with us and gives us strength through prayer.

Q3. What issues to we bring to prayer? That can vary from week to week depending on the needs of the church, the village, the nation, the world. That sounds like a list but we don’t go through a list, there is no particular format although holding up all in leadership within our benefice is important.

Q4. God, where is He in the prayers?
In the middle of us - see answer to question 1. We can’t do it without God. Only He has the ability to lift our burdens as scripture says, come to me all you who are weary, let me teach you for I am humble and gentle at heart.

Q5. How much faith do you need to pray? As small as  a mustard seed. Matthew 17:20 He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." We receive strength as we hear others pray and are empowered to press in to God.

Q6. How great is our God? Praise just seems to come out, as we find that God’s Spirit raises up praise in our hearts through prayer and so we give thanks remembering how awesome our Father is and that He is in control and has the Victory.
